This emergency window is necessary as Microsoft re-released their 2026-09 Cumulative updates long after their normal Patch Tuesday release to account for recent critical vulnerabilities. Because the patch was not available in time, it was missed during our last window of patches. The vulnerabilities are urgent enough this time that they must be addressed before the next Patch Tuesday for October. Software and security updates will be installed on all Windows studio computers during an upcoming maintenance window.
During this time, the following updates will be installed: - Monthly operating system updates - Monthly software updates
NOTE: The following Studios and computers will be EXCLUDED from this maintenance window - KNWI - KCVO - KSLT - RCS Zetta server - RCS Zetta OnAir - RCS Zetta Main
Quick Note: Upgrades or system maintenance may cause unexpected situations to surface. IT staff will do everything possible to stay within the scope of the anticipated work and communicate any changes.
