Scheduled - Due to a critical vulnerability announced by Microsoft, software and security updates will be installed on all Northwestern Windows workstations. This does not impact Media studio machines. Workstations will install Windows and Microsoft Office updates during the following times:
Thursday, October 15 at 10:00 p.m. to Monday, Oct 19, at 11:59 p.m.
During the maintenance window, your computer will automatically begin installing any missing software updates as soon as it is powered on and connected to the internet.

- Replace expiring SSL certificates
- Update third-party applications on servers
- Implement security configuration improvements
- New policies for Media production systems for security/preference standardization
