Information Technology will be performing maintenance during a scheduled maintenance window. Affected systems will have intermittent interruptions during this time.

The following work will be completed during this time:
- Install monthly software updates
- Replace expiring SSL certificates
- Update third-party applications on servers
- Implement security configuration improvements

Maintenance updates will be posted to the IT status page.

Quick Note: Upgrades or system maintenance may cause unexpected situations to surface. Information Technology staff will do everything possible to stay within the scope of the anticipated work and communicate any changes.

Office Computer Software Updates Apr 23, 2024 22:00 - Apr 30, 2024 00:00 CDT

Software and security updates will be installed on all Windows and MacOS office computers during an upcoming maintenance window.

During this time, the following updates will be installed:
- Monthly software updates for Windows and MacOS
- Monthly software updates for Microsoft Office

During the maintenance window, your computer will automatically begin installing any missing software updates as soon as it is powered on and connected to the internet or the UNW network.

Tired of updates interrupting your work?
-You can install these updates ahead of time by following this guide:
https://unw.atlassian.net/l/cp/8XzEwVJ9 - (Windows Only)
-Otherwise, you can wait until the evening that the maintenance window begins but leave your computer powered on and connected to the internet. By leaving your computer on overnight, updates should install automatically while you aren't working.
-If you wait until the following day and turn your computer on, your computer will automatically begin installing any missing software updates as soon as it is connected to the internet or the UNW network.

Scheduled - Information Technology will be performing emergency network maintenance during a maintenance window tonight.

Access to Banner applications and related systems will be unavailable beginning at 9:00 p.m. and expected to last until 10:30 p.m.
All UNW Internet access will be interrupted at 9:30 p.m. and expected to last 15 minutes.

The unwsp.edu website, and public safety/fire alarm systems will not be impacted by the maintenance. Maintenance updates will be posted to the IT status page.

KDNW's primary internet provider (Spectrum) is down. The station currently has intermittent network connectivity.

IT is actively working to restore access affected systems. Updates will be posted to the IT status page within the hour.

Resolved - A fix has been implemented and the issue is resolved.

Monitoring - A fix has been implemented per suggestion of the vendor and we are monitoring the results. We are now seeing the published events from the Events Office reflected in the calendars on myUNW.

Investigating - The IT department has been made aware of an issue in which the Master Calendar and the Student Activities calendars in myUNW are not updating with new event changes from the Events office.
